Full of hand embroidered silk Scarf is one of the great traditional artwork (Kantha stretch) by the rural poor women group members of DEW Crafts. DEW Crafts is working with this group since 1998 and over the period provide them a skill, product development, design, and quality control training. The women’s hand embroidery group is based in the northwest part of Bangladesh.
To complete hand embroidery of a silk scarf takes 15-30 days’ time for women group members. It is a historical cultural heritage of Bangladesh which we need to protect and promote.
All of DEW Crafts are handmade, using natural fibers and materials with maintaining Fair Trade principles as a Certified Guaranteed Fair Trade Social Enterprise.
